Euphoria made the magic happen
The day of all days: For the big awarding ceremony, everyone met and celebrated in the atrium of Messe Stuttgart. The partners participated and were united on the banners around the stage. In addition to the three Exclusive Partners MKN, RAK and Metro, everyone gathered on February 19 to celebrate the 25th IKA/Culinary Olympics. A big thank you goes out to everyone who was there and made the event possible.

Several partners, one success
Whether participant, judge or visitor: At the IKA/Culinary Olympics, everyone was well supplied at all times: In the cooking boxes, the teams worked – among others –with equipment from Bohner. Unilever products were used behind the scenes and beverages from Teinacher, J. J. Darboven and Stuttgarter Hofbräu were served in the Restaurant of Nations.

Anyone who looked around at the IKA/Culinary Olympics could not only experience great culinary performances and teamwork at its best: In total, 31 strong partners were on site and showed a terrific team effort – for the benefit of the competition.

Connected with the chefs
Taking part was not only everything at the IKA/Culinary Olympics, but also the expression of a shared passion. As far as technology is concerned, IKA partners such as Blanco and Cool Compact showed which equipment and solutions they offer for professional kitchens.

Team Support at all times
Those who competed in the IKA/Culinary Olympics did not only have their own culinary achievements in mind: The equipment of the kitchens, the equipment on site and the provision of all food & co. were of great importance. Whether cooking modules by MKN or AMT cookware: The teams from all over the world could rely on the competence of the IKA partners in Stuttgart.
Supplier for every need
In the total of 22 competition kitchens, all necessary equipment, small and large, was ready for use and the supply of goods was also taken care of at all times. Whether moving into the respective cooking box, during the hot phase or shortly before serving: Everything was ready for the Olympic cooking and the individual companies worked hand in hand to create the best conditions.

Exactly a year ago today, the teams opened the 25th IKA/Culinary Olympics with the parade of the nations. A very special moment. As Sven Bodry, Director Sales & Marketing at RAK Porcelain Europe, states: “In the past year I have looked at the countless videos and photos of the IKA and I still get goose bumps when I watch the parade of nations or the chefs in action with heroic background music,” he says. “The participants prepare for the Culinary Olympics years in advance to achieve the best result on day X, whether in individual competitions or in a team. For us as a partner of this mega event, it is an honor to be here on the one hand and to learn new things on the other” At the same time as the IKA, the Intergastra, leading trade fair for the hotel and catering industry, was opened. Close cooperation between Messe Stuttgart and the German Chefs Association, the organizer of the IKA, was the be-all and end-all. In just a few days, more than twenty professional kitchens were built in an empty exhibition hall. Good organization and cooperation between all partners was essential for this. “22 competition kitchens with extremely ambitious timing!,” Jürgen Gärtner, Director of Business Development & Consulting at Edgar Fuchs GmbH, remembers the construction of the cooking boxes. “But what a wonderful, inspiring IKA/Culinary Olympics 2020!”. And the timing worked out too, so that on the four competition days, the teams could delight guests and jury with their menus from the pop-up kitchens.
